The governing board has unanimously approved the appointment of Lori Gambero and Jenny Plugge as new vice principals. The schools to which they will be assigned have not yet been determined.

“We are fortunate to have the opportunity to welcome Ms. Jenny Plugge and Ms. Lori Gambero to the ranks of Hart District Administrative Leadership as new Assistant Directors,” said Hart District Superintendent Mike Kuhlman. “Both bring years of successful experience as assistant managers and managers. We salute their experience and expertise!

Gambero comes to the Hart District of the Los Angeles Unified School District where she is currently the principal of the Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts. Prior to this assignment, she served as the District Arts Specialist and Vice-Principal at Hollywood High School.

Prior to working at LAUSD, Gambero worked at both Clovis and Fresno Unified from 1997 to 2015. There she was a language arts and theater teacher, as well as department chair, chief guidance counselor, assistant principal, district campus cultural director and director of the Roosevelt School of the Arts.

Gambero holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Composition from Fresno State University, a Masters in Educational Counseling and a PPS credential from National University and a Services credential. Fresno State administration.

Plugge comes to the Hart District from the Bakersfield City School District, where she is currently the principal of Compton Junior High School. She served as Vice Principal, Dean of Students, and Testing Coordinator prior to this position.

Before becoming a school administrator, Plugge taught middle school and high school math, all in Bakersfield.

Prior to working in education, she worked as an accountant from 1997 to 2005. Plugge holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University, a Teaching Diploma in Mathematics from University of La Verne and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Point Loma Nazarene University.

The new deputy directors officially started their new duties on July 1, 2022.
