Queens College wins 2021 Eloquence Cup

Queens College in Yaba became the winner of the 2021 Lagos State High School Eloquence Cup competition.

The government-owned girls’ college beat nine other high schools from different parts of the state to retain the cup it won in the last edition which was held in 2019.

He said: “Our young men and women here have given us hope that over the next 15 to 20 years our democracy will deepen with our House of Representatives and Senate guided by quality and solid dialogue. based on the power to speak.

“In 15 years, we have done a fantastic job teaching the art of public speaking in our high schools. Our aspiration is for it to become national, so don’t be surprised that in 2023 you have the Eloquence Cup in Lagos and the Eloquence Cup in Abuja.

The head of the library unit of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Security Agency, Askira Aisha, urged students to embrace the culture of reading.

“Students should soak up the culture of reading because reading will help you on your life’s long journey and even your career.
